Property History
The Port Inn has been part of the local community for over 100 years. The original Port Inn, built in 1909, was the center of social life. From its spacious veranda a boardwalk extended through the park to the pier and far out into the bay.

The original Inn was practically destroyed by fire in 1944 and the current building was rebuilt in 1947. Over the years the Inn had several owners and name changes. The building fell into disrepair until the current owners, David and Trish Warriner stepped in to save the building for its rich history and charm. The newly renovated Port inn reopened in 2003 and welcomed guests until October 10, 2018, when Hurricane Michael, a category 5 storm swept through the Forgotten Coast. Surge and wind destroyed the entire first floor. Once again, the Inn was renovated with love and care and was reopened in 2020 under what the owners and employees call the Port Inn, version 3.0.
